As areas of Austin became gentrified, some BIPOC businesses and neighborhoods have all but disappeared. “What Once Was” answers the question: how can you honor the past, yet promote the present?
My team put together social media filters that corresponded with real world geotagged locations. Users would download the filters and see an animated 3D representation of the cultural heritage buildings of the past for that location.
